WORK PROCESS

INTRODUCTION:
This project explores the boundary between man and machine, questioning if artificial intelligence has the capability to create in the profound sense traditionally ascribed to human artists and craftsmen.
Central to the narrative is the birth of a life form from a mechanical gynoid, leading to critical questions: If we endow AI with the ability to create, how should we interpret its creations when it brings forth life? Are these entities human? Do they have souls? If only creations borne of craftsmen and artists are deemed meaningful and ensouled, does that reduce AI-generated life to mere soulless products of industrial-scale production?

CONCEPT:
The philosophy of this project delves into the philosophical realms defined by Jean Baudrillard’s concept of the simulacrum and Guy Debord's spectacle, exploring the intersections where technology reshapes our understanding of reality and identity. It portrays AI as more than a mimicry of life; it suggests that AI can manifest new forms of hyperreality, transcending traditional boundaries of authenticity.

This narrative challenges the viewer to consider the spectacle of technology as a transformative social relation, where the line between reality and representation becomes indistinguishable, urging a reflection on the essence of existence and identity in a world increasingly mediated by technological constructs.

THE STYLE OF THIS PROJECT:
This project's narrative approach is marked by surreal, uncanny, disjointed, creating a sense of a fragmented dream. The pace is deliberately slow and quiet, interspersed with abrupt shifts that jolt the audience, reflecting the unpredictability of life's journey.

The art style is cinematic and imbued with mystery, leveraging the uncanny valley effect to evoke both allure and discomfort. A limited color palette enhances this atmosphere, focusing on stark contrasts to deepen the exploration of existential themes.
