This motion design project translates Jorge Luis Borges’ poem What Can I Hold You With? into a tactile, time-based visual experience. The piece explores memory, time, and existence through the idea of physical pressure—how meaning is preserved by imprinting, rubbing, and leaving marks on a surface.

Visually, the project is inspired by the archival installations of Christian Boltanski, particularly his use of worn photographs, fabric, and repetition to suggest absence, loss, and the erosion of identity. These influences shape an aesthetic that treats text as a kind of “memory fossil”—something pressed into matter, slowly fading, yet resisting disappearance.

The result is a restrained, text-driven motion piece that reflects on the fragile act of holding onto memory through material form.
